THINGLINK

 THINGLINK

ThingLink is a digital tool that engages the use of rich media that can turn any image, video or VR experience into learning. It makes learning interesting by allowing teachers to turn any video, photo, 360-degreeshot into a learning experience. It is quite useful for students who learns best by visuals. It is used in learner-based interactive classes. In your classes you can add tags on images, your own pictures, videos in order to allow students interact more with the media. It all depends on the creativity of the user because it provides tagging system, tagging maps, charts to create stories with images. It is available on Android, iOS and web.

The flexibility of ThingLink invites a lot of possibilities. Teachers can use the site to collect tagged images, creating an interactive slide show to introduce a new unit. Working individually or in groups, students can use ThingLink to tag a collage of images related to a specific subject, to tag maps and charts with annotations and related videos and recordings, or to create a story told in tagged images.

The ease with which images can be collected and tagged encourages both formative and summative assessment, providing teachers with a great way to evaluate what students know, both midway through a unit and at its conclusion. That said, teachers will likely want to establish specific guidelines in terms of what links and sites students use. Teachers might also want to incorporate a speaking or writing assessment to accompany students' projects, as it would be easy to game the system by clicking without in-depth understanding.

How does ThingLink work?

Select an image, video, VR shot to begin tagging.

Tap the content you have selected and now you can add text, audio or a link.

Then you can edit the tag to show what is available with icons for images, videos, links, and more.

Add as many or as few tags as needed and ThingLink will save your progress as you go along. When finished, you'll see an upload icon as the project is uploaded to the ThingLink servers.

You should then be able to share the link.
