   While teaching it is crucial important to find new ways in order to increase productivity and efficiency. It is essential to discover the best route to reach students and capture their attentions. While some students learn by listening, some note down word by word what they hear. And some of them learn better by seeing knowledge as a whole with connections. The best method for this kind of learning is mindmapping. Mindmapping is a tool used to boost learning, memorization and creativity. By this way students can visualize what they think, know and learn. Mindmaps are diagrams that are used to outline information visually. One of the most important functions of mindmaps is that they make connections between knowledge. There are many tools to make mindmaps that can be used while teaching like Miro, Mindomo, Coggle etc. This blog is on Mindmeister which is one of these tools. 

   Mindmeister is a mindmapping tool used in order to structure information, show relations, display hierarchy and show the big picture. With the help of Mindmeister sudents can learn faster and more effectively, take better notes in terms of reading and comprehending easily and brainstorm faster. Another advantage of Mindmeister is that it also provides collaborative learning. Students can work on a mindmap and brainstorm together. 

  

    How to Get Start?

    If you don't have an account, you can sign up either by entering your e-mail, name and password or just sign up with you Google/Facebook accounts. After logging in, the first  thing you see is the page where you create a new mindmap or store your mindmaps. If you want to make a new mindmap click blue "+" button at the top of the page. Then click "New mind map" and here s your mind map. You can change the style of text, borders, lines, you can add icon/emoji, you can turn structure into mind map/ org chart/ list or you can change the theme of your mindmap by using tools at the right corner of the page. If you make something wrong, you can click "undo/redo" buttons in order to make changes. Another feature of Mindmeister is that you  can add another members by clicking "invite" button.

     Whether learned at school or not, although the learned things are more or less the same, educational theorists, teachers and experts have been developing hypotheses in order to explain the process of learning. There are 4 basic: behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism and connectivism.
