   Nearpod is an interactive web 2.0 tool that provides instructional delivery. It allows teachers to integrate a variety of content and activities into an online lesson. These lessons can be used synchronously or asynchronously. There are many components that make online learning more interactive and language rich for English learners including the integration of polls, quick writes, quizzes, matching activities, video clips, teacher recorded audio, and opportunities for students to record their oral responses.

   Nearpod functions as an interactive technology tool to engage students in their learning. The tool integrates with different applications, such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Canvas and YouTube videos. Students can interact with the tool using any web-based device, including a laptop or smartphone, and they do not have to be in the same physical space to use the tool. Nearpod can be used to create interactive slides and videos, create an interactive and active learning environment, provide individual pace of progress, make students learns through gamification.

   Nearpod adds interactivity and feedback to lessons. It gives students opportunities for interaction and immediate feedback by having them draw on a map or diagram, respond to a poll question, post a note or image to a collaboration board, take a multiple-choice quiz, or participate in a gamified Time to Climb challenge. It helps students to review key learning concepts or vocabulary with the help of Flocabulary videos.
