EDMODO: VIRTUAL CLASSROOM
Especially with the occurrence of pandemic most of the sectors, one of which is education, have been adapted to the virtual world. People have tried to get efficiency as much as possible by finding alternatives. Many educational applications and websites have been developed. This problem showed that it is possible to maintain education without physical classes. Edmodo is a web 2.0 tool used to create virtual classroom that helps to make connection between teachers, students and parents. It helps teachers to be in contact with students out of school. Teachers can make announcement, quizzes, questionnaire, assign homework, share files.
How to use?
-You can sign up either by writing e-mail, password and school code or by your existing Google/ Microsoft/ Apple accounts.
-After you have done with this step, choose the account type (teacher/ student/ parent) suitable for you.
-Teacher account enables you to create a class and share the classroom code with students/parents.
How to create a classroom?
-After logging in your account, there is “My Classes” section at the left side of the page.
-Click “…”.
-Click “Create Classroom”.
-Name your class, describe your class, select the grade of your students, select topic and subtopic.
-Click “Create”.
-Now you can invite your students!
-You can invite by clicking “Invite” button and then sharing the code at the screen with your students. Another way is that; write down names, surnames and mails of your students. By this way a personal invitation mail will be send to your students.
